An Evening with Laura Lippman

Friday, February 21, 2020

Laura Lippman has been hailed as one of the essential crime writers of the last 100 years. Tess Gerritsen states that her “stories aren’t just mysteries; they are deeply moving explorations of the human heart.” A reporter for 20 years, she began writing the Tess Monaghan series while still working full time, publishing seven novels in seven years. In 2001, she left her job at The Baltimore Sun to focus on her work as a novelist. She has written more than 20 novels and multiple short stories, several of which have been anthologized in The Best American Mystery Stories. She has won multiple awards for her work, including the Edgar, and is a New York Times best seller. Her most recent novel, Lady in the Lake, was hailed as one of the best books of 2019. This year, she will publish her first collection of essays, My Life as a Villainess. Book Signing & Reception to follow. Limited Seating.
