Return to Work Guide for Business:
The Alabama Technology Network (ATN), an entity of the Alabama Community College System and local MEP center, developed a Return to Work Plan as a response to COVID-19 to help guide small business and industry in their effort to resume operations. Obtain a copy here.
Alabama Department of Labor:
April 23, 2020. The Alabama Department of Labor is reminding unemployment claimants that if their employer calls them back they must accept work. To remain eligible for unemployment benefits, federal law requires that those who have been placed on a temporary layoff related to the COVID-19 pandemic must return to work if called back. United States Congress:
- April 23, 2020. Congress sends legislation that includes additional funding for the Paycheck Protection Program and Small Business Administration disaster assistance loans and grants, among other things, to the President. - The Families First Coronavirus Response Act was signed into law on March 18, 2020.
Centers for Disease Control: The CDC has a dedicated page to provide resources for businesses and employers. There is now a separate website for COVID-19 by the CDC called www.coronavirus.gov. This website contains links for businesses and individuals.
Governor Kay Ivey has launched altogether.org, an online resource that will serve as an up-to-date hub of information for the state’s response to the coronavirus crisis. The site is the state’s official guide to COVID-19 relief efforts, to help empower those impacted by the outbreak and those who want to offer support.
Alabama Department of Commerce: The Department of Commerce has developed a resource page for businesses in Alabama.
Alabama Department of Insurance: The Alabama Department of Insurance has established a page for insurance consumers and providers during the COVID-19 crisis.

The United Way of Central Alabama: The United Way of Central Alabama has set up a COVID-19 Community Response.
