New Development Site on the Cahaba River

The Cahaba River is one of Hoover's most important assets. With more than 50 miles of frontage along the river, city leadership has identified recreation access as a key priority. In Fall 2022, the Hoover City Council approved the purchase of the former Bama Concrete property along Lorna Road. With direct access to the Cahaba River, this +/- 1.7 acre site presents a key recreation and commercial development opportunity. The Office of Economic and Community Development is actively working to advance this project.
