Retail Development Opportunities In An Investment-Ready Market

Hoover has long been a retail hub for the Birmingham-Hoover Metro Area and for the state of Alabama. Strong housing and income growth, a large concentration of major white-collar employers, and excellent connectivity along I-65 and I-459 have created multiple commercial corridors and destinations.

  • The Riverchase Galleria, a super-regional mall, is home to almost 200 specialty stores and is anchored by Macy’s, Belk, Von Maur, JCPenney, and Dave & Buster’s.  The Galleria includes restaurants, a hotel, a 17-story office tower, and numerous outparcel destinations, including Home Depot and Costco.
  • The Grove shopping center is anchored by a Target, and includes several other businesses.
  • Stadium Trace Village is a new 43-acre development along I-459 (exit 10) and Alabama Highway 150.  Designed as a walkable destination, it consists of 225,000 square feet of retail and commercial space.
  • The Inverness/280 portion of the city also contains many shopping options for people who live and work in that area and beyond, including the Village of Lee Branch lifestyle center and Tattersall Park.
